PROJECT MANAGER / LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

DESCRIPTION
This position involves the design, documentation and management of a wide variety of project scales and types throughout California, Arizona and Hawaii.  Candidates should have experience in multi-family, hospitality, private residential, institutional and/or commercial projects.  This position includes tasks such as: site analysis, conceptual design, preparation of schematic presentation materials, development of construction documents, presentations to review boards and clients, and construction observation.

REQUIREMENTS
5 yr. minimum working experience at a landscape architecture office.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture.
Project management/project coordination experience.
Demonstrated ability to prepare landscape architectural drawings and specifications: concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
Technical understanding of site design and construction methods and materials.
Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise hand-drawn sketches and digital graphics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Attention to detail and organization / effective time management skills.
Clear communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD / LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D Modeling (SketchUp, Lumion, Revit or Rhino) software.

DESIRED SKILLS
Irrigation design and proficiency with Irrigation F/X.
Knowledge of local CA plants, including native and climate-adapted species.
Experience with local Santa Barbara regulatory procedures and permitting.
Experience with construction administration and site observation.
Strong design intuition and creative talent.

 

DESIGNER

DESCRIPTION
This position involves the preparation of schematic plans and graphic presentation materials, site analysis, assisting with the production of construction documents, attending and participating in meetings, and collaborating with higher level staff as part of a creative team.

REQUIREMENTS
3 yr. minimum working experience at a landscape architecture office.
Undergraduate degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or urban design.
Experience working on technical drawings, including construction layout plans, details, planting and irrigation plans.
Ability to prepare clear, concise hand-drawn or digital graphics.
Excellent communication skills (written, graphic and verbal).
Ability to take direction and work within a team.
Attention to detail and organization.
Proficiency in AutoCAD / LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D Modeling (SketchUp, Lumion, Revit or Rhino) software.

DESIRED SKILLS

Ability to take initiative and investigate potential design solutions.
