We are currently seeking both an entry-level Designer as well as a Project Manager to join our creative team in Santa Barbara, CA!  We also have a summer internship position available.  Our studio is a collaborative environment and we prioritize both the professional development and work/life balance of our team.  Our projects are diverse and range from private residential to hospitality, multi-family and commercial properties in California, Arizona and Hawaii.

Compensation:  To be determined based on experience, hourly wage and benefits package with flexible hours
Hours: Full time, Remote employment considered

SUMMER INTERN

DESCRIPTION
This position involves assisting with the preparation of graphic presentation materials and construction documents, developing and posting marketing materials, assisting with research, and collaborating with higher level staff as part of a creative team.

REQUIREMENTS
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture.
Ability to prepare clear, concise hand-drawn or digital graphics.
Excellent communication skills (written, graphic and verbal).
Ability to take direction and work within a team.
Attention to detail and organization.

DESIRED SKILLS
Proficiency in AutoCAD / LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D Modeling (SketchUp, Lumion, Revit or Rhino) software.
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Desire to learn.
Sense of accountability.


PROJECT MANAGER / LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

DESCRIPTION
This position involves the design, documentation and management of large-scale commercial and residential projects including tasks such as: site analysis, conceptual design, preparation of schematic presentation materials, development of construction documents and construction site visits.  In addition, we encourage our team at all levels to engage in presentations to review boards and develop client relationships.

REQUIREMENTS
3-5 yr. minimum working experience at a landscape architecture office.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture.
Project management/project coordination experience.
Demonstrated ability to prepare landscape architectural drawings and specifications: concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
Technical understanding of site design and construction methods and materials.
Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise hand-drawn sketches and digital graphics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Attention to detail and organization / effective time management skills.
Clear communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD / LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D Modeling (SketchUp, Lumion, Revit or Rhino) software.

DESIRED SKILLS
Irrigation design and proficiency with Irrigation F/X.
Knowledge of local CA plants, including native and climate-adapted species.
Experience with local Santa Barbara regulatory procedures and permitting.
Experience with construction administration and site observation.

This position involves the preparation of schematic plans and graphic presentation materials, site analysis, assisting with the production of construction documents, attending and participating in meetings, and collaborating with higher level staff as part of a creative team.

REQUIREMENTS
1-3 yr. minimum working experience at a landscape architecture office.
Undergraduate degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or urban design.
Experience working on technical drawings, including construction layout plans, details, planting and irrigation plans.
Ability to prepare clear, concise hand-drawn or digital graphics.
Excellent communication skills (written, graphic and verbal).
Ability to take direction and work within a team.
Attention to detail and organization.
Proficiency in AutoCAD / LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D Modeling (SketchUp, Lumion, Revit or Rhino) software.
